Islamic Games Weightlifting competitions to be held in Baku, on May 12-22, started. 130 athletes from 21 countries will get on the platform. There are 51 women, 79 men among them. Azerbaijan National Team will compete with full staff- 16 persons ( 8 women and 8 men).
Today, Men in 62 kg weight category got on the platform. In this weight category, Azerbaijan is represented by Allahyar Abishov. In snatch, Allahyar lifted 117 kg and could lift 135 kg, in clean and jerk.
He took the 8th place with total 252 kg (117+135) result.
