IV Islamic Solidarity Games Weightlifting competitions continue in Weightlifting Academy, in Shuvelan. The Vice –President of Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation and the head coach of National Weightlifting team-Tofig Heydarov gave an interview to AAAF Tv. He pointed the performances of our athletes who competed on the first day of the competition: “I am very happy that we were able to win a bronze medal on the first day, especially this medal was won by our young athlete. I was very pleased with the performance of Sabina Azimova. One of other athletes could take the 4th place and the other two took the 6th place. This is a very good result. I also say that the guests coming to the competitions, see that Azerbaijan is a sporting country. I believe that in these competitions we will win medals that are our target “.
Vice-President spoke about the certificate of thanks given to AZE WF by IWF: “IWF is very pleased with the care given to the weightlifting in our country. They exemplify Azerbaijan to world countries. After getting acquainted with the Academy, the Central Base in AAAF Park, Lyceum, as well as other halls, created infrastructure, they are caused a great surprise. For this reason, they evaluated what we did for weightlifting and presented us with special certificate of thanks. I thank them for that”.
Tofig Heydarov also expressed his gratitude to President of Azerbaijan Republic- Ilham Aliev for attention and care to the development of sports in our country and for the high level of organization.
