Azerbaijan Weightlifting Cup continues in the competition hall of Weightlifting Academy, in Shuvelan. Men competed in 62 kg weight category. In this weight category, Ismayilli athlete Mahammad Mammadli got on the highest step of honorary chair. He got gold medal with a total of 270 kg (120+150) result.
The winner of the competition shared his joy of victory with AAAF TV:
“I am very happy to win the Azerbaijan Cup. I would like to thank my coaches, because everything was up to them. In 2017, I have participated in several competitions. One of them was the selection competitions that I won there. Besides, I also participated in the international competitions. At the European Championship, in Albania, I took the third place in clean and jerk. Now I have the country cup. I want to continue my success in the following year”.
