December 12 is the memorial day of national leader Heydar Aliyev. In this day, all the collectives and organizations of the republic organize various events, come to the monument and in front of the bust of great leader, express their respect. Adhering to its tradition, Azerbaijan Weightlifting Federation commemorated the national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Today, AZE WF management, coaches and athletes arrived in Heydar Aliyev Park in Khirdalan. The staff of the Federation laid flowers on the statue of the National Leader and bowed in front of his soul. General Secretary of AZE WF-Rizvan Rasulov noted that ” honoring the memorial of the Great Leader is both the Federation and Azerbaijanis’ moral obligation. Today is a historic day for the Azerbaijani people, the 14th anniversary of the Great Leader. Heydar Aliyev devoted his life to Azerbaijan and to his people. He established our state with great difficulties, ensured the welfare of all in our country. His both internal and external political ideology is given as an example for other countries. As a result of this policy, Azerbaijan is developing, flourishing and growing in all areas. The worthy successor of Heydar Aliyev, Mr President Ilham Aliyev, also demonstrates his loyalty to the Great Leader. We should always remember him, commemorate his memorial and be grateful. Rest in peace”.
At the end, Weightlifting team came to the statue of Heydar Aliev in the central base-AAAF Park Residential Complex, laid flowers and showed their respect.
