On May 11-12, the second day of Azerbaijan Weightlifting Championship among juniors under 20 and 23 launched in the competition hall of Shuvelan Weightlifting Academy. Athletes of 81 kg bodyweight category boarded the platform.
Fugan Aliyev excelled all his compatriots and triumphed with a total of 286 kg (130+156). Ismayil Bakhishov was runner-up with 278 kg (123+155), however the bronze medalist was Isa Hasanli with 242 kg (107+135) result.

The aim of the championship is increasing and improving the athletes’ skill level, qualifying athletes who are technically trained and fulfilling their degree norms, determining the composition of National teams, preparing for the upcoming international competitions.
