Under 20 and 23 Azerbaijan Junior Championships started in Weightlifting Competition Hall of AAAF Park, Khirdalan. About the 100 athlete from different clubs tooks part in this competition.
Second day started by the 69 kg weight category challenge. Athletes competed till the end. Gold medal won by Fugan Aliyev by total 238 kg (103+135) result. Silver medal won by Ismail Bakhishov by the 233 kg (102+131) result, bronze medal gained by Rafail Isayev with 200 kg (90+110) result.
The aim is to select the strong athletes, to teach and develop the sport of weightlifting in cities, towns and villages, to strengthen friendship relations between the athletes and coaches, to increase and improve the athletes’ skill level and to prepare for the following international competitions.
