The Azerbaijan Republic has been represented with seven sportsmen in the championship of World held in Korea. In spite of attanding by the whole staff, our National team could include to the list of the strongest teams of the world for the first time in history. The team of Yanko Rusev took the forth place leaving behind lots of strong countries of the world. Members of our team Sardar Hasanov and Turan Mirzayev could not join the competition at the last moment. Four members of our team were included to the list of six strongest sportsmen of the world pretended to attand at the London Olympic with the whole staff strained fight for the medals.
Captain of our team Nizami Pashayev competing in 94 kg weight category could show 387 kg (177kq+210kq) result and according to the total of two actions took the second place. The champion of twofold World, the representative of Absheron had been honoured with silver medal in the World championship for the second time. But 22-years-old disciple of Lankaran Weightlifting school Rovshan Fatullayev in the same weight category with Nizami showed 380 kilogram (170kq+210kq) result took the 6th place. Young athlete competing successful took the third place in clean and jerk but losing a kilogram took the forth place. It was the best result of disciple of the Coach Mammad Mammadov competing in the World championships.
Silver winner of the last European Championship Intigam Zairov had successful performance in 85 kg weight category. He increased the result showed in the European Championship and with the result of 373 kilogram (170kg + 203kg) took the fifth place. Honoured Coach Maxim Khasanov’s disciple achieved to the best result in the World championships.
The disciple of Sumgait Weightlifting school Zulfuqar Suleymanov represented the team decently in 62 kg weight category. Worthy continuer of the champions family showing 298 kilogram (133kg + 165kg) result could rose to the sixth place. The disciple of Hafis Suleymanov, champion of Europe and World had been superior from all the athletes being from Europe increasing his result to 13 kilograms. Silver winner of the last European Championship had renewed Azerbaijan record belonged to his brother Elkhan Suleymanov in the same weight category. World and bronze winner of European Championship Afgan Bayramov showing 304 kilogram (134kg+170kg) result was included to the list of ten strongest sportsmen of the world in 69 kg weight category.The disciple of Coach Sultan Karimov achieved worthy points to the favour of team.
Alibay Samadov showing 362 kilogram (162kq+200kq) result could be the twelfth in 105 kg weight category. It was the first time that the representative of the capital was taking part in this weight category.
Koreyada keçirilən dünya çempionatında Azərbaycan Respublikası 7 idmaçı ilə təmsil olunmuşdur. Tam heyətlə çıxış etməsinə baxmayaraq Milli yığma komanda tarixdə ilk dəfə olaraq dünyanın 6 ən güclü komandası sırasına daxil ola bilmişdir. Yanko Rusevin komandası dünyanın bir çox güclü dövlətlərini geridə qoyaraq 4-cü yerə çıxmışdır. komandamızın üzvləri Sərdar Həsənov və Turan Mirzəyev son anda yarışa qoşula bilməmişlər. London Olimpiya oyunlarında tam heyətlə çıxış etməyə iddialı olan komandamızın 4 üzvü dünyanın 6 ən güclü idmançı sırasına düşərək,medallar uğrunda gərgin mubarizə aparmışlar.
94 kq çəki dərəcəsində çıxış edən komandamızın kapitanı Nizami Paşayev 387 kq (177kq+210kq) nəticə göstərərək iki hərəkətin cəminə görə 2-ci yerə çıxmışdır. Abşeron təmsilçisi ikiqat dünya çempionu ikinci dəfə dünya çempionatlarında gümüş medala layiq görülmüşdür. Nizami ilə eyni çəki dərəcəsində çıxış edən 22 yaşlı Lənkəran ağır atletika məktəbinin yetirməsi Rövşən Fətullayev isə 380 kq (170kq+210kq) nəticə göstərərək 6-cı yerə çıxa bilmişdir. Gənc atlet uğurlu çıxış edərək təkanla qaldırmada 3-cü yerə 1 kq uduzaraq 4-cü olmuşdur. Məşqçi Məmməd Məmmədovun yetirməsinin bu çıxışı onun dünya çempionatlarında göstərdiyi ən uğurlu nəticədir.
85 kq çəki dərəcəsində son avropa çempionatının gümüş mükafatçısı İntiqam Zairovun çıxışıda uğurlu olmuşdur. O avropa çempionatında göstərdiyi nəticəni 6 kq artıraraq 373 kq (170kq+203kq) nəticə ilə 5-ci olmuşdur. Əməkdar məşqçi Maksum Xasanovun yetirməsi də dünya çempionatlarında ən uğurlu nəticəsinə nail olmuşdur.
62 kq çəki dərəcəsində isə komandanın Sumqayıt ağır atletika məktəbinin yetirməsi Zülfüqar Süleymanov layiqincə təmsil edə bilmişdir. Çempionlar ailəsinin layiqli davamçısı 298 kq (133kq+165kq) nəticə göstərərək 6-cı yerə çıxa bilmiçdir. Avropa və dünya çempionu Hafis Süleymanovun yetirməsi avropa çempionatında göstərdiyi nəticəni 13 kq artıraraq avropadan olan bütün atletlərdən xeylı üstün olmuşdur. Son avropa çempionatının gümüş mükafatçısı bu çəki dərəcəsində qardaşı Elxan Süleymanova məxsus olan Azərbaycan rekordunu təzələmişdir.
69 kq çəki dərəcəsində dünya və avropa çempionatının bürünc mükafatçısı Əfqan Bayramov 304 kq (134kq+170kq) nəticə göstərərək dünyanın 10 ən güclü idmançısı sırasına düşə bilmişdir. Məşqçi Soltan Kərimovun yetirməsi komandaya layiqli xallar qazandırmışdır.
105 kq çəki dərəcəsində çıxış edən Əlibəy Səmədov 362 kq (162kq+200kq) nətcə göstərərək 12-ci ola bilmişdir. Paytaxt təmsilçisi ilk dəfə idi ki, bu çəki dərəcəsində iştirak edirdi.
В мировом чемпионате, проведенном в Корее, Азербайджан был представлен 7 спортсменами. Не смотря на выступление в полном составе, Национальная Сборная впервые в истории попала в список шести самых сильных команд мира. Команда Янко Русева, оставив позади многих сильных государств мира, вышла на четвертое место. Члены команды Сардар Гасанов и Туран Мирзоев в последний момент не смогли присоединиться к соревнованию. 4 члена нашей команды, претендующие на выступление в Лондонской Олимпиаде, попав в список 6 самых сильных спортсменов мира, повели упорную борьбу за медали.
Капитан нашей команды Низами Пашаев, выступавший в разряде 94 кг и показав результат 387 кг (177кг+210кг) по сумме двух движений вышел на 2 место. Представитель Апшерона, двукратный чемпион мира во второй раз был удостоен серебряного металла. А выступавший в одном весе с Низами 22 летний воспитанник школы тяжелой атлетики Ленкорани Ровшен Фатуллаев, показав результат 380 кг (170кг+210кг) смог выйти на 6 место. Молодой атлет, удачно выступив в поднятии, с напором и проиграв 1 кг на 3 место, вышел на 4 место. Это удачное выступление воспитанника тренера Мамед Мамедова его самое удачное из выступлений, показанных в мировом чемпионате.
Выступление серебряного призера последнего европейского чемпионата Интигама Заирова в разряде 85 кг также было успешным. Он, увеличив результат, показанный в европейском чемпионате, на 6 кг, стал 5 с результатом 373 кг (170 кг + 203 кг). Воспитанник заслуженного тренера Максум Хасанова также добился самого удачного результата в мировых чемпионатах.
Воспитанник команды Сумгаитской школы тяжелой атлетики Зульфугар Сулейманов смог достойно представить в разряде 65 кг. Достойный продолжатель семьи чемпионов вышел на 6 место, показав результат 373 кг (133кг+165кг). Воспитанник чемпиона мира и Европы Хафиза Сулейманова, увеличив на 13 кг результата, показанный в европейском чемпионате, стал намного выше всех европейских атлетов. Серебряный призер последнего европейского чемпионата в этом же весовом разряде обновил рекорд Азербайджана, принадлежавший его брату Эльхан Сулейманову.
Бронзовый призер мирового и европейского чемпионата в разряде 69 кг Афган Байрамов, показав результат 304 кг (134кг+170кг), смог попасть в список десяти самых сильных спортсменов мира. Воспитанник Солтан Керимова заработал достойные очки команде.
Выступавший в разряде 105 кг Алибек Самедов, показав результат 362 кг (162кг+200кг) смог стать двенадцатым. Представитель столицы впервые принимал участие в этом весовом разряде.
