Islamic Games Weightlifting competitions to be held in Baku, on May 12-22, started. 130 athletes from 21 countries will get on the platform. There are 51 women, 79 men among them. Azerbaijan National Team will compete with full staff- 16 persons (8 women and 8 men).
Today, men in 69 kg weight category got on the platform. Among them, Turkish athlete Daniyar Ismayilov could exceed all his competitors. Rio Olympics Games silver medalist-Daniyar won gold medal with 323 kg (151+172) result. Silver medalist was Iranian Majid Askari with 316 kg (139+177) result and Uzbekistan athlete Doston Yokubov was bronze medalist, with 314 kg (137+177) result.
