Elshan Mammadov- a double winner of the European Championship!

On December 7-14, European Weightlifting Youth Championship U-15-17 is proceeding in Eilat, Israel. Approximately 498 athletes (228 girls and 270 boys) from 37 states participate in the competitions. The members of national team are also amid them.

Elshan Mammadov tested his power in 61kg bodyweight category of athletes U-15.

The athlete was runner-up with 106kg result in snatch. However, in clean and jerk, he could get the bronze medal with 129kg. European Championship crowned Elshan Mammadov with the result of 235 kg (106 + 129).

This is his second such result. Thus, Mammadov also pinched a gold medal in the European Championships in Milan, Italy, last year.
