On 15-22 October, European Championship, among young weightlifters U-20 and U-23, held in Durres, Albania, continues. 405 athletes (170 women and 235 men) from 36 countries are expected to compete in the competition. Members of the Azerbaijan Juniors Weightlifting Team also participate in the tournament.
One more of them –Huseyn Ismayilov joined the medal struggle, in 94 kg weight category, among U-20 men. Our athlete has been remembered for a successful performance.
Huseyn lifted 158 kg in snatch and won bronze medal in this movement. In clean and jerk, 18 year-old athlete was the 4th with 188 kg. Huseyn Ismayilov took the 3rd place in the European Championship with a total of 346 kg (158+188) result.
