In September 13-14, Azerbaijan Weightlifting Juniors Championship continues in the competition hall of Shuvelan Weightlifting Academy. More than 100 athletes representing sport clubs and communities from all regions of the country take part in the competition.
In 62kg weight category, the winners have been set. With a total of 258 kg (115+143), Rustam Gasimov won gold medal. Elmaddin Huseynov finished second with 230 kg (105+125), while Murad Aliyev came third with 210 kg (96+114).
The aim is the increasing and improving of athletes’ skill level, qualifying athletes who are technically trained and fulfilling their degree norms, determining the composition of National teams, preparing for the following international competitions.
