From the 17th to 27th of October, European Junior Weightlifting Championship amid U-20-23 kicked off in Bucharest, the capital of Romania. In these competitions, which have license character to 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, attend 488 athletes (206 women and 282 men) from 41 nations. Members of the Azerbaijan national team will also join the struggle for medals.
Marziyya Maharramova was first to board the platform. She tested her power in 49kg bodyweight category of athletes U-23 and grabbed the 4th place with a total of 146kg (66+80) result.
