Omar Javadov, a bronze medallist of 55kg in Snatch in the World Youth Weightlifting Championship held in Las Vegas, USA, gave an interview to the federation’s official website. The young athlete shared his feelings of success and spoke:
“For a long while, Azerbaijan could not win medals in the world youth championships. Fortunately, I was able to achieve that. It was hard, but well that I got the bronze. First of all, I would like to thank my personal coach Aghakarim Karimov. Additionally, I want to express my gratitude to all the coaches of National team who have contributed, as well as Tofig Heydarov as a leader and all the leadership of the federation. Hopefully, I will try to raise the flag of Azerbaijan in the upcoming competitions. “
