Rustam Gasimov, a bronze medallist of 67kg in Snatch in the World Youth Weightlifting Championship held in Las Vegas, USA, gave an interview to the federation’s official website. The young athlete shared his feelings regarding the result and said:
“It was a good competition, and I performed well. I express my gratitude the National team’s coaches, as well as my personal trainer Taleh Huseynov, doctors, especially Asif Mammadov, in short everyone who has contributed. I am happy that I could win medal. Injury in my arm prevented me from better performance in Clean and Jerk, and grabbing medal in Total. Despite this, I struggled to the end, not hesitate to compete. When I came here, I aimed to earn medal. Thankfully, I was able to achieve the desired. “
